Luxury Car Incident: Wealthy Social Media Personality's Lamborghini, Valued at 100 Million Rupees, Suffers a Flame-Up in Bengaluru
In a series of unfortunate events for luxury car owners in India, another Lamborghini sports car has caught fire. This time, it was the Lamborghini Revuelto, worth nearly Rs 10 crore, that was engulfed in flames on Mumbai's Coastal Road last year.
The incident received significant media attention, similar to the recent fire in the Lamborghini Aventador that occurred in Bengaluru. However, unlike the Bengaluru incident, the exact cause of the Mumbai fire remains unspecified.
The Lamborghini Revuelto belongs to social media influencer Sanjeev, who is known as Nimma Mane Maga Sanju on Instagram. Despite some claims that the sports car was completely destroyed, Sanjeev later stated that the vehicle only suffered minor damage.
Sanjeev, who is also a farmer, is known for his extravagant gold ornaments and boasts over 2 lakh followers on Instagram. Visual footage of the supercar fire went viral, showing flames on the rear side of the vehicle and people using water and a fire extinguisher to put out the fire. Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported during the incident, and no information is provided about any damage to property.
The Lamborghini Aventador fire incident occurred in a different city from the Lamborghini Revuelto fire incident. Both incidents were costly, with each car valued at nearly Rs 10 crore.
Common causes of Lamborghini cars catching fire include modifications made to the vehicle, the extreme heat generated by the powerful engines, and the difficulty in cooling the engine when the car is stuck in traffic without adequate passive cooling. Many incidents happen around the rear engine compartment, leading to fires sometimes triggered by human error or heat-related issues.
However, in several recent cases, such as the 2025 Bengaluru incident involving a Lamborghini Aventador, the exact cause of the fire remains unclear but is speculated to be related to engine heat or technical faults rather than an isolated defect.
Reports highlight the rear engine area as the common origin point for such incidents. Yet, no definitive systemic or manufacturing defect has been publicly confirmed as the cause for fire incidents, but the recurrence of such events has led some public figures to question Lamborghini's safety.
Despite the uncertainties, it is clear that owning a Lamborghini comes with its risks, as these high-performance sports cars are prone to catching fire due to a combination of factors, including the extreme heat generated by the engine, modifications, maintenance issues, and human factors.
Sanjeev, the Indian social media celebrity known for his luxurious lifestyle and love for Lamborghinis, experienced a related incident with his recent acquisition, the Lamborghini Revuelto, which caught fire on Mumbai's Coastal Road. The fire, similar to the one involving a Lamborghini Aventador in Bengaluru, caused a stir in the entertainment world, raising questions about the safety of these high-value sports cars.
