Luxury auction house Bonhams offering Downton Abbey memorabilia for sale

Downton Abbey fans, get ready to bid on some iconic pieces of the globally successful series! Bonhams, a renowned auction house, will be hosting an auction of props, costumes, and set pieces from the show from August 18th to September 16th, 2025. The auction will take place online on bonhams.com and will feature a special exhibition at Bonhams New Bond Street, London, during the same period.

Highlights of the auction include several notable items from the series' six-season run from 2010 to 2015. Among them are some of the show's most iconic outfits worn by the cast.

One of the standout pieces is the Downton Abbey Bell Wall, an iconic prop that rings up a top estimate of £7,000. Another item that's sure to catch the eye of collectors is a clapper board used in the production of the film Downton Abbey: A New Era, estimated at £1,000 - 1,500.

Fans of the show's characters will be delighted to see items from their favourite characters up for grabs. For example, a pair of Thomas Barrow's white leather gloves has hopes of achieving £100-150, while a Peach Halterneck Dress worn by Laura Carmichael's Lady Edith in Season 4, Episode 2 is estimated at £800 - 1,200.

Michelle Dockery's Wedding 1 Prop Costume and bouquet from Season 3, Episode 1 is estimated at £3,000 - 5,000, and her A Silver Sequin Drop-Waist Evening Dress from Season 6, Episode 4 is estimated at £1,000 - 1,500. Jessica Brown Findlay's Harem Pant Prop Costume from Season 1, Episode 4 is estimated at £3,000 - 5,000.

Various Cook Costumes and Pinafores for Mrs Patmore, played by Lesley Nicol, carry an estimate of £600 - 800. Dame Maggie Smith's Light Pink Day Dress and Dark Grey Day Dress from Season 6, Episode 1, Episode 9 are estimated at £1,500 - 2,000.

Proceeds from items donated by the producers of the show will go to this worthwhile cause.
