Deutsche Bahn CEO Richard Lutz to Step Down, Successor Search Underway
Unnamed sources have confirmed that Federal Transport Minister Patrick Schnieder will make an announcement later today regarding the departure of Richard Lutz from Deutsche Bahn and the search for his successor.
Lutz, who is 61 years old, has been the CEO of Deutsche Bahn since March 2017. His departure, described as premature, comes after an agreement involving Schnieder and Deutsche Bahn's Supervisory Board Chairman. Despite being dismissed, Lutz will continue as managing director until a new CEO is appointed.
