Luton Town's 2026 calendar becomes obsolete after mass player exits
Luton Town fans who bought a 2026 calendar may find it quickly outdated. The club has seen major squad changes since the winter transfer window. Eleven players left in January, with nine of them heading out on loan.
The calendar, now reduced to £5 in the team shop, originally featured different players for each month. But many of those faces have already departed or may soon follow.
Luton Town's promotion to the Premier League in spring 2023 marked a historic return after 31 years away. Since then, however, the club has faced two consecutive relegations and now sits in League One.
Over the winter window, nearly half the players pictured in the 2026 calendar were offloaded. Five more—Millenic Alli, Lasse Nordas, Zack Nelson, Jerry Yates, and Joe Gbode—will not return until summer at the earliest, if they come back at all. This leaves only three players from the calendar still under contract by April, unless some return in time for their featured months.
The summer transfer window could further shrink the calendar's relevance. If Nahki Wells and Shaydeen Morris also leave, even fewer familiar names will remain. Fans who purchased the calendar may soon find most of its pages outdated before the year even begins.
The club has cut the calendar's price to £5, reflecting its dwindling accuracy. With more departures possible in summer, Luton Town's squad could look very different by 2026. Only a handful of the original featured players may still be at Kenilworth Road by then.
