Lünen Experiences Thrilling Crime Wave at Bloodied Lip 5 Festival
The Bloody Lippe Crime Festival is set to return for its fifth edition on September 8, 2025, with a series of captivating events across the city of Lünen. This year, Lünen will be represented with three events, marking the first time it has cooperated with the Lünen Cultural Office.
The festival kick-off will take place on Wednesday, 30 October 2025, at 7 pm in the Bürger-Bücherei-Brambauer. The event will feature entertaining moderation, thrilling and humorous short crime stories, and an interactive crime quiz with attractive prizes.
One of the highlights of the festival is the "Crime and Wine" event, which will take place at LÜKAZ Lünen on 5 November 2025, starting at 7:30 pm. Wine expert Bernd Molitor will present and let participants taste five suitable wines. The event will also feature author Isabella Archan reading from her new crime novel "The Snake of Sirmione". Tickets for this event can be purchased from the Lünen Cultural Office, LÜKAZ, and online via Pretix.
On Thursday, 13 November 2025, Doris Oetting will read from her new crime novel "Decision on Norderney" at Bürgerzentrum Gahmen. Hartmut Marks and Magnus See will moderate Doris Oetting's reading, which will be followed by an interactive crime quiz. Admission for Doris Oetting's reading is free, but registration is required through the Cultural Office.
The festival will also feature German-speaking crime authors transforming locations along the Lippe into fictional crime scenes. These events promise to be immersive and engaging, transporting readers into the heart of the action.
