Luke Grimes returns as Kayce Dutton in Marshals—a bold Yellowstone spin-off debuts Sunday

The premiere of Yellowstone cast's Marshals, the latest Netflix series, took place in Hollywood on Tuesday evening. Cast members and guests gathered to celebrate the new series, which follows Luke Grimes returning as Kayce Dutton, now a U.S. Marshal after selling the Yellowstone ranch. The event included a screening, an afterparty with themed memorabilia, and a live musical performance by Riley Green.

Marshals centers on Luke Grimes returning as Kayce Dutton, now a U.S. Marshal after selling the Yellowstone ranch. The series explores his ties to the Broken Rock Reservation, revisiting tensions between white settlers and Indigenous communities in Montana. While the show maintains the ranch backdrop of Yellowstone, it shifts into an action-crime format, focusing on an elite Marshals unit.

The premiere drew key cast members, including Grimes, Riley Green, Arielle Kebbel, and Gil Birmingham. Mo Brings Plenty, another Yellowstone actor, highlighted Taylor Sheridan's support for cultural diversity in the franchise. Sheridan, though not the lead writer this time, remains an executive producer, with Spencer Hudnut serving as showrunner.

After the screening, attendees moved to an afterparty featuring custom cowboy hats, embroidered bandannas, and a live set by Riley Green. The trailer teased a dark turn in Kayce's life, showing him at a grave and seemingly separated from his wife, Monica. Ash Santos also stars as Andrea Cruz, a seasoned Marshal who performed many of her own stunts.

Marshals will debut on CBS this Sunday. The series expands the Yellowstone universe by blending crime drama with its established themes of cultural conflict. Fans can expect a mix of action, emotional depth, and the franchise's signature Montana setting.
