Lufthansa's Game-Changer: Introducing the Opulent Allegris Class Aircraft

Lufthansa introduces high-end, premium aircraft for flights.

Hop aboard a luxurious journey as Lufthansa unveils its latest strategy—the Allegris cabin, a high-end offering designed to impress affluent travelers and reinstate its reputation. By 2027, Lufthansa Airlines intentionally rolls out 61 new aircraft, marking its most extensive fleet renewal in history.

CEO Jens Ritter shares, "Every two weeks, we'll welcome a new aircraft to our fleet." Additionally, Lufthansa's much-awaited First Class, featuring the Allegris cabin, is now in service, boasting a cabin with a double bed in an enclosed space, providing exclusivity for the ultrahigh-end travelers. Ritter confidently states, "We are steadily moving towards regaining our title as Europe's premier premium airline."

Post the COVID-19 pandemic's end in 2023, Lufthansa confronted a wave of negative headlines due to delays, lost baggage, and criticisms over on-ground services. Last year, the Lufthansa group's overall profit saw a 18% decline, totaling around 1.4 billion euros. The new aircraft collection includes 29 Boeing 787-9 "Dreamliners," with deliveries delayed due to Boeing's long-standing production issues.
