One driver, the 32-year-old Turkish man operating the Mercedes, collided with the young women's vehicle, causing it to become wedged between two trees.

Rescue services had to extricate the young women, who were so severely injured they did not survive the accident. The Mercedes driver sustained only minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for observation. He was provisionally arrested on orders from the public prosecutor's office and had his driver's license confiscated by police.
The driver of the second car, remaining unknown, chose to flee the scene. Police located the black Mercedes near the accident site, but no occupants were present.
Grieving relatives struggle to make sense of the senseless tragedy. "It's overwhelming," a cousin of the 22-year-old victim shared with RTL. "We're deeply upset. I'm at a loss for words. It's hard when someone's life is taken away for no reason. Our family is devastated. We don't know what to do. It's very hard for us."
Mayor Matthias Knecht of Ludwigsburg laid flowers at the accident site, expressing his outrage and grief. "This act is horrendous," he said. "We're all stunned. How can people be so reckless?" The community is left to mourn the seemingly pointless loss of two vibrant young lives.
