In a unanimous decision at the regular association meeting in Duisburg, Peter Frymuth has been re-elected as President of the Football Association Niederrhein (FVN) for another four-year term, extending his tenure until 2029.

As the Vice-President of the German Football Association (DFB) and a native of Düsseldorf, Frymuth has been leading one of the largest regional football associations in Germany since 2013. The FVN, an umbrella organization for approximately 1,100 clubs in the Niederrhein region, manages district leagues in addition to the Oberliga Niederrhein.

The FVN's responsibilities do not include any professional leagues, focusing instead on the development and promotion of football at all levels within the Niederrhein region. This includes overseeing youth football programs, grassroots football initiatives, and coaching education, as well as organizing regional leagues and tournaments.

Under Frymuth's leadership, the FVN has experienced steady growth in membership numbers, reflecting successful promotion and support of football at the grassroots. The association organizes match operations for around 100,000 games per year across all age classes.

One of Frymuth's key achievements has been the implementation of advanced youth training programs and closer collaboration with clubs, which has helped produce talented players who progressed to professional levels. The FVN has also made significant strides in strengthening women's football, launching initiatives to boost participation and visibility of women’s football in the region, contributing to increased female player registration and competitive opportunities.

Frymuth's tenure has also seen the modernization of the association’s administrative processes and communication channels, improving efficiency and member engagement. He has led campaigns and events that foster social inclusion, integrating refugees, and promoting football as a tool for community cohesion.

Frymuth's recognition and reputation have earned him prominent roles beyond the regional association, enhancing Niederrhein’s influence within German football governance. The FVN, composed of 13 districts, is responsible for referee appointments, match schedules, and promotion and relegation regulations.

As the FVN continues to grow and evolve under Frymuth's leadership, it is poised to make an even greater impact on the development of football in the Niederrhein region.

In North Rhine-Westphalia, the Football Association Niederrhein (FVN) under the leadership of President Peter Frymuth has been focusing on the sports of football and its development at all levels within the region. As a result of Frymuth's efforts, the FVN, which manages district leagues and oversees youth football programs, grassroots football initiatives, and coaching education in addition to organizing regional leagues and tournaments, has seen steady growth in membership numbers and significant strides in strengthening women's football, contributing to increased female player registration and competitive opportunities.
