Love Island USA’s Amaya Espinal rushed to emergency surgery in Los Angeles

Love Island USA star Amaya Espinal has been hospitalised for emergency surgery in Los Angeles. The 25-year-old, who won season seven of the show in June 2025, was rushed to hospital over the weekend after suffering severe abdominal pain. Doctors have confirmed she remains in stable condition following the procedure earlier this week.

Espinal had been filming Beyond the Villa, a Love Island spinoff series, when her symptoms worsened. She was not on set at the time of the medical emergency. This marks her second abdominal surgery in recent months, as she previously underwent a similar procedure in Los Angeles.

Espinal is currently recovering in hospital, with her team confirming she is in a stable state. Filming for Beyond the Villa has been temporarily affected, though no further delays have been announced. Her medical team continues to monitor her progress following the emergency operation.
