Louisville crushes Florida State 88-65 in dominant road victory

Ninth-ranked Louisville dominated Florida State with an 88-65 victory on Sunday. The team capitalised on 16 turnovers, converting them into 26 points, while also recording 25 assists—just one shy of their season best. Laura Ziegler led the charge with 14 points in a strong all-round performance.

Louisville took control early, with Ziegler scoring the game's first five points. By halftime, they led 34-20, shooting an efficient 49.3% from the field. Ziegler also contributed eight rebounds and seven assists before leaving the game.

Five Louisville players reached double figures. Imari Berry, Skylar Jones, and Reyna Scott each added 11 points to support Ziegler's effort. Meanwhile, Florida State struggled, shooting just 36.9% from the field.

Sole Williams topped the scoring for Florida State with 19 points, while Allie Kubek provided 18 off the bench. Despite their efforts, the Seminoles could not close the gap.

Looking ahead, Florida State will host California on Thursday. Louisville, meanwhile, prepares to face Virginia on Sunday.

The win keeps Louisville's strong form intact, with balanced scoring and sharp ball movement. Florida State, despite individual standout performances, will aim to improve their shooting efficiency in their next matchup. Both teams now shift focus to their upcoming conference games.
