Louis Buffon’s double U19 hat-trick fuels his rise at Pisa SC
Louis Buffon, the 17-year-old son of legendary Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, has made headlines with two hat-tricks for Czech Republic’s U19 team. The young winger, who qualifies through his Czech mother, is also pushing for a regular spot in Pisa SC’s senior squad this season.
Buffon made his Serie A debut in October 2025 under coach Alberto Gilardino. Since joining Pisa’s youth system at 15, he has progressed quickly, featuring in most of the club’s senior matchday squads this term.
His international form has been even more impressive. In a 24-minute spell, he netted three times against Northern Ireland U19s. Days later, he repeated the feat with another hat-trick in a win over Azerbaijan U19s.
Unlike his father, who guarded Italy’s goal for decades, Louis operates as a winger. His performances suggest he is now on the brink of securing a permanent place in Pisa’s starting eleven.
Buffon’s recent exploits for Czech Republic’s youth side and his growing role at Pisa highlight his rapid development. With two international hat-tricks and Serie A experience already under his belt, the teenager appears set for a bright future in the game.
