Loud-Mouthed Gavin Newsom Slams MAGA Faction Left and Right,Providing a Tremendous Spectacle of Verbal Sparring
Rules of Engagement RedcherokeeYesterday, Jun 17, 2025, 5:44 pmI wish the media were as outspoken as Gavin Newsom. + TudorGirl Yesterday, Jun 17, 2025, 6:12 pmAgreed, speaker up like Gavin Newsom does. + cornysquid507 9 hours agoYesterday, Jun 18, 2025, 2:31 amWell said, Bravo !!* deliciousstar241 Yesterday, Jun 17, 2025, 6:17 pmGavin's just stating the truth about the Frump administration not following the law! Google it - the Obama and Biden administrations combined deported 3.8 million illegals! (Trump 1.2 million). They did it quietly and followed the law, no propaganda and ridiculous arrests of American citizens!! No sending our own military into battle against our citizens!! This is dictator-style rule like Putin and Jong Un, small men with no souls!!!! EVIL at its finest!!!!... + cornysquid507 9 hours agoYesterday, Jun 18, 2025, 2:33 am@fabtrash5623 Imprisoning people on nothing more than an unsupported claim that they're "illegals" is pure enforcement by assertion. You must provide evidence to back your assertion. That's called "due process." And while we're on the topic, being in the country without a valid visa is a civil violation. It's not a crime. It's illegal to imprison someone for a civil violation... + lenaw4a651b06e 7 hours agoYesterday, Jun 18, 2025, 4:34 am@casualpizza23 Absolutely!* oddrockstar1722 days ago (Edited 18 hours ago)Yesterday, Jun 17, 2025, 6:56 pmLadies, gentlemen, it doesn't matter if you're a republican, democrat, or independent — the Supreme Court gave Trump a key to Fort Knox to take whatever he wants, sell whatever he wants, call people names like he does, and you just have to wait 3 1/2 more years to clean house when it comes to the Republicans, starting with Linsey Graham and finishing with Marjorie toilet green. I'm writing this as an 89-year-old. I've never seen it this bad. These politicians have no decency... + shyknight4328 Yesterday, Jun 17, 2025, 8:39 pmSadly, decency, courage, conviction, and the greater good have temporarily taken a back seat. Have faith; millions came out rain or shine. We the people, regardless of party, have had enough. + sparklytooth49 10 hours agoYesterday, Jun 18, 2025, 3:54 amI love that! Marjorie toilet Greene! Who has diarrhea of the mouth! That was a perfect analogy!* bubblytrout185 Yesterday, Jun 17, 2025, 5:59 pmGo, Gavin!!! + kebneter 5 hours agoYesterday, Jun 18, 2025, 6:58 am@lenaw4a651b06e Newsom's being noisy on Twitter, for sure, but he's also arguing in court, right? (I'm not a huge fan of Newsom generally, but I like what he's doing here with ICE.)... + bubblytrout185 1 hour agoYesterday, Jun 18, 2025, 12:16 pm@lenaw4a651b06e Agreed* joyfulmatcha67 Yesterday, Jun 17, 2025, 7:13 pmMy Governor! Why wasn't Noem arrested for attacking a senator?* magicalsmoothie67 Yesterday, Jun 17, 2025, 8:02 pmThe comment responses are EPIC!!! Go, Gov. Newsome!!!* skelly03172 days ago, Edited 18 hours agoYesterday, Jun 17, 2025, 11:30 pmI'm diggin' "Spicy Gavin" these days! Thanks, Governor, from San Francisco!* pasteltooth568 Yesterday, Jun 17, 2025, 7:30 pmGavin for President! His tweets are worthy of the burn book. Write it down for later; put it in the book. + lenaw4a651b06e 7 hours agoYesterday, Jun 18, 2025, 4:40 amA grown man, a governor should do more than write in a virtual burn book. Then again, damn journalists should be doing their job... + pasteltooth568 5 hours agoYesterday, Jun 18, 2025, 7:02 am@lenaw4a651b06e Of course, he should do more. Maybe have a parade or pardon all the rioters. Like our orange turd would do.* youngcloud79 Yesterday, Jun 17, 2025, 7:00 pmHe's spot-on with his comments. Let a Republican party member tell you this: "People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones."* icymagazine491 Yesterday, Jun 17, 2025, 5:37 pmGovernor, please move to blue skies. X isn't the place for you; we've got better options. Stop pouring money into Leon! + fabtrash5623 Yesterday, Jun 18, 2025, 11:55 am@icymagazine491 Not at all. I live in a blue state, and I'm quite content here. However, given the mass exodus from California to red states like Texas and Florida, I can't see Newsome as a competent governor. + icymagazine491 Yesterday, Jun 18, 2025, 12:04 pm@fabtrash5623Ok, well I think the exodus from California has much more to do with the cost of living, companies leaving, and people wanting to live in GOP-controlled red states. I don't think the whole state is "falling apart" as you said. Every state has things they could change; do people want those changes or are they happy with the status quo? Elections give us those answers, and apparently, the citizens of California feel Newsom IS competent...* lizm4c300ae9b Yesterday, Jun 17, 2025, 8:31 pmNews sites don't need to quit using Twitter. Just stop calling it X. Use Twitter. It's ridiculous to clarify it. Protesting in small ways helps too. Like with Musk's ego, buzzfeed can irritate him, and it's a win-win.* casualpizza23 Yesterday, Jun 17, 2025, 7:05 pmI wholeheartedly despise this man, but I'll admit his tiffs with Trumper are earning my respect. Of course, Newsom is fighting for his political and possibly physical life as the administration plots a coup against him and Mayor Bass. Nothing like a crisis to sharpen one's focus... + surprisedcat532 Yesterday, Jun 17, 2025, 7:56 pmUsed to like him a lot, but I agree with the disgust over his responses to homeless encampments. I'm not fond of many of his podcast guests, but I'm not sure if he disagrees with them.* sparklytooth49 10 hours agoYesterday, Jun 18, 2025, 3:49 amFrump wants what he wants when he wants it! A 79-year-old man should have better self-control than this moron has. I genuinely can't believe people support this nonsense! I live in California and would stake my life on 10 Newsoms over any republican anytime! I've been distancing myself from the Republican party for a decade now, and I refuse to vote for them again. I no longer recognize what that party has become...* Luxacious 11 hours agoYesterday, Jun 18, 2025, 2:51 amSpicy Gavin is the new Spicy Brandon* kjp789 Last night, Jun 17, 2025, 10:42 pmKeep it up. We'll all move to California if there's a civil war. + Putzik47 9 hours agoLast night, Jun 18, 2025, 4:13 amIt's not a bad idea. California's economy is gigantic, with agriculture, big businesses, ports, Disneyland, and rights. Go surf while the red states wean themselves off our tax dollars. + Heather 1 hour agoLast night, Jun 18, 2025, 12:35 pmWe need to build more housing first (we need to do that anyway-and the reason we have so many homeless is because of all the people fleeing other states) but I'm all for my state seceding from the US of A. We're self-sufficient and have a huge GDP. We'll be fine, but not the red states being propped up by our agriculture and tax dollars...* fancypear515 2 days ago, Edited 16 hours agoYesterday, Jun 17, 2025, 9:17 pmGavin for 2028!!* lazyship80882 days ago, Edited 17 hours agoYesterday, Jun 17, 2025, 8:07 pmThe problem with math can sometimes be that you can use it to make yourself look good, and someone else look bad. For example, if you look at the population of California 39.4 million vs Alabama 5.2 million, 1970 people are murdered in California vs 536 people in Alabama. That's 367% more people murdered in California vs Alabama. It seems horrible, right? The reason the number is higher is simple: more people live in California. So even if the murder rate is low (5 for every 100,000), more people will die. Newsom might be popular, but he has substantial issues in his state, such as being soft on crime, drugs, and drug use. It's challenging to govern such a massive state with a diverse population and multiple ideologies. I believe the ladies in Alabama would greatly acknowledge how we "leave our rose-tinted glasses on." Californians have a persistent self-loving view of our state's exceptionalism while ignoring more pressing issues. + Lp1111 15 hours agoYesterday, Jun 17, 2025, 9:57 pmThanks for pointing out the obvious 🥴 + Putzik47* 9 hours agoLast night, Jun 18, 2025, 4:14 amWouldn't you say drug use is worse in red states? They're not winning the "War on Drugs."
