Los Angeles could be reduced to ashes, claims Trump, as he plans to deploy troops.

Firing Off on Truth Social:

President Donald Trump took to his social media platform, Truth Social, to weigh in on the recent deployment of military personnel to Los Angeles amidst protests, as reported by our website.

"If I hadn't deployed troops to Los Angeles over the past three nights, this once-beautiful and great city would now be in ruins, just like the 25,000 homes that burned in Los Angeles due to the incompetence of the governor and mayor," the White House chief declared.

This statement comes amidst an ongoing legal battle between California's attorney general and the Trump administration, with Governor Gavin Newsom accusing Trump of inciting violence and turning peaceful protests into riots.

Trump, however, believes that his actions have saved Los Angeles from complete destruction. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, on the other hand, has labeled the city a "testing ground" for federal government experiments.

Protests in Los Angeles began in June 2025, triggered by conflicts between local residents and federal agents enforcing immigration laws. The deployment of National Guard troops to Los Angeles ensued, leading to heightened tensions, clashes, and widespread controversy.

The speed of Trump's response indicates that his administration is ready and even eager for this fight, the BBC Russian Service reported. The White House sees upholding the law and order, and aggressively enforcing immigration laws, as issues where it holds a strong position.

Trump's actions are expected to energize his core base and potentially sway undecided voters concerned about public safety, according to the publication. For more details, click here.

It's worth noting that, historically, federal troops were not deployed to Los Angeles during protests in June 2020. National Guard deployments, when they occurred, were typically authorized by state authorities for civil unrest, not the federal government.
