Looking for singers for the upcoming Christmas Oratorio choir project
In an exciting development for music lovers, the choirs of Büdrich and Osterath have announced an open project to perform Jauchzet frohlocket, a movement from Bach's Christmas Oratorio, on December 13th. The performance will take place at the Christuskirche Büderich.
Mathias Bertuleit and Rüdiger Gerstein, church musicians responsible for organising the choir project, are handling registrations for singers interested in participating. Interested parties can contact Mathias at [email protected] or 0151 53 43 75 51, or Rüdiger at [email protected] or 0151 29 70 82 97.
Rehearsals for the performance will commence in September and will be held regularly on Tuesdays at 7:30 PM in Büdrich's Bethlehem Church and Thursdays at 8 PM in Osterath's Evangelical Church. Rehearsal formats will be tailored to the prior knowledge of the participants, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment for all choristers, regardless of familiarity with the Christmas Oratorio.
Rehearsal weekends will take place on Fridays from 7 to 9 PM and Saturdays from 10 AM to 5 PM, with three weekends scheduled: September 19/20, November 7/8, and November 28/29. A dress rehearsal will occur on Friday, December 12th, in the evening.
Singers are encouraged to approach their performances with joy, and additional project singers will be involved in the performance. The event is open to all interested choristers, and interested singers are welcome to sing along.
On Saturday, December 13th, the performance of Jauchzet frohlocket by Bach will take place at 6 PM. This promises to be a memorable event, and we invite all music enthusiasts to join us for this special occasion.
