London estimates roughly 70,000 Russian troops perished in Ukraine's war of aggression. This staggering figure includes 50,000 regular soldiers and 20,000 Wagner mercenaries. As for injuries, London believes between 180,000 to 240,000 Russian soldiers and Wagner fighters were wounded.

However, it's crucial to note that precise figures are elusive. The Russian military infamously maintains an opaque reporting culture, which suggests even within Russia, the true number of casualties might remain undisclosed.

Meanwhile, NATO's estimates surpass the 300,000 mark, combining fatalities and injuries among Russian troops. In the summer of 2022, "The New York Times" reported around 120,000 Russian soldiers lost their lives, while a further 170,000 to 180,000 were wounded. Projections for Ukraine's casualties set the soldier fatalities at approximately 70,000 and wounded soldiers at around 100,000.

The British Ministry of Defense has provided daily updates on the conflict since its inception in 2022, prompting controversy with accusations of disinformation levied by Moscow.
