Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela, a Platinum Emirates Member, has reported a stolen Christian Dior bag at London's Gatwick Airport. The incident occurred after she landed in the UK to attend Wimbledon.
The bag, containing jewellery worth approximately ₹70 lakh (around £60,200), went missing from the baggage belt despite Urvashi holding her baggage tag and ticket. Urvashi described the incident as "an alarming breach of airport security" and emphasized the need for accountability and traveler safety.
Rautela publicly raised the issue on social media, tagging Gatwick Airport, Emirates, and the Metropolitan Police UK, seeking urgent help. As of early August 2025, neither Gatwick Airport nor Emirates has confirmed any actions taken in response to her complaint.
The actress gained attention on the internet for her look at the final match of Wimbledon championships, where she wore an ivory midi dress and carried a Hermes bag decorated with four Labubus. However, the attention has since shifted, with social media users making memes and jokes about her lost bag. One comment reads, "First Indian to lose baggage returning from Wimbledon!".
Despite the lack of official response, Urvashi Rautela has made public appeals for help and accountability from Gatwick Airport, Emirates, and law enforcement. As the investigation continues, the incident serves as a reminder of the importance of airport security and the need for swift action in cases of lost or stolen luggage.
