Local SPD Association in Alsfeld-Holten paid a visit to Alsbachtal GmbH in Oberhausen, resulting in the election of a new board.
In the heart of Germany, the SPD local branch Alsfeld-Holten held its annual general meeting, bringing together members to discuss local matters and elect new representatives.
The election of the board and delegates was the centrepiece of the meeting, marked by a spirit of cohesion and renewal, particularly as the community gears up for the local elections in 2025. A new board was elected, with Norbert Nadolski and Jörg Chlebowski confirmed in their positions as treasurer and secretary, respectively.
Thorsten Berg, Matthias Brodrick, Ugur Coskun, Karsten Jurzik, Michael Pfitzner, Yvonne Schuetz, Kai Wesely, Hans-Günter Wrobel, and Benno Ziermann were elected as deputy members. Helmuth Eidam and Helmut Brodrick, including the latter who is a city councilor from Holten, were also elected as deputies.
Notably, Chairwoman Lena Kamps-Engel was re-elected as the chairwoman of the local branch, expressing her excitement for the future with the newly elected board members. She praised their diverse mix of experience, commitment, and fresh ideas, stating they are well-equipped to best represent and implement the concerns of the citizens of Alsfeld-Holten.
During the meeting, the acute shortage of places for people with disabilities was not discussed. However, the local branch collected 205 euros among its members to support the work of the Alsbachtal gGmbH, an association for physically and multiply disabled people.
The Alsbachtal gGmbH, active for over 60 years in areas such as family, adults, and therapy, was not present during the election of the new board and delegates of the SPD local branch Alsfeld-Holten. The organisation, currently facing an acute shortage of places due to a lack of space, underfunding, and a shortage of skilled workers, was, however, visited by the local branch as part of the meeting.
During the visit, members were impressed by the commitment shown and the diversity of the offers at the Alsbachtal gGmbH. The organisation is actively seeking ways to address these challenges for the future.
The annual general meeting concluded with the election of Uschi Dorroch, Bernd Oesterschlink, and Olaf Rabsilber to audit the accounts of the SPD local branch Alsfeld-Holten. Lothar Nastvogel won a 50 euro CentrO gift card in an online and offline survey among local branch members of the SPD Alsfeld-Holten.
