Prepare for an exciting cultural journey in Katernberg, as the town gears up for a series of literature, music, and art events from August 22 to September 11, 2025. Here's a rundown of the key events happening in the coming weeks.

August 22, 2025

The festivities begin with the project Zwischen Erfinden und Erfassen by Urbane Künste Ruhr, offering performative works, workshops, guided tours, and discussions. In the afternoon, immerse yourself in the Suchbewegungen im Duisburger Innenhafen Wohnzimmerslam, a free-entry poetry slam event as part of the new Wunderland festival series.

As the evening approaches, the Spoken Acts Will Gregory Moog Ensemble will perform original compositions and arrangements honouring Wendy Carlos, a pioneer in electronic music, featuring rare analogue synthesizers.

Just a stone's throw away in Gladbeck, the French ensemble Les Apaches! will present a contemporary techno reinterpretation of Maurice Ravel's Boléro, transforming it into a trance-like rave.
