Gennadiy Dolmatov, head of Omsk district in Omsk region, unveils the revamped War Memorial of Valor in Novotroitskoye.
On Monday, May 5, 2025, Gennadiy Dolmatov, the Omsk district chief, announced the completion of the reconstruction of the War Memorial of Valor in Novotroitskoye. Initially erected in 1967, this memorial has been given a facelift: the destroyed granite slabs bearing the names of fallen heroes in the Great Patriotic War have been replaced, the platform in front of the monument has been refurbished, new asphalt has been laid, and the borderings have been updated.
"Remembering the heroes who sacrificed their lives for their Motherland is the most valuable thing we can preserve for future generations. Thanks to the joint efforts of the government and the villagers, the memorial regained its dignified appearance. We will always honor the bravery of our forebears, who defended our Homeland. Eternal glory to the heroes!", remarked Gennadiy Dolmatov.
The project was funded by local budget funds and donations from citizens totaling 500,000 rubles. The memorial complex, consisting of a statue with a relief of a soldier and granite slabs with the names of the fallen, remains a significant site of memory for the settlement's residents.
