Local elections in Arnsberg received gratitude from city officials.
In the heart of Germany, the town of Arnsberg held its municipal election on September 14, 2025. The election office, located in the historic Rittersaal, had been meticulously preparing for several weeks preceding the election day.
At the helm of the central team was Daniela Dümpelmann, who led the team with efficiency and dedication. The election office's preparations involved organising 63 polling stations and 23 postal voting stations, a task that required the commitment of approximately 630 volunteers.
These volunteers, the backbone of the election process, were responsible for a multitude of tasks, including counting votes and ensuring a smooth running of the election. Their hard work and dedication were duly recognised by Mayor Ralf Paul Bittner, Christopher Hilverling, and Kirsten Heckmann, who thanked them for their commitment and support.
The election day passed without a hitch, and it was announced that there would be no runoff election on September 28, 2025. The election office expressed its gratitude to the many voluntary helpers for their willingness to engage in the election.
A total of around 59,100 citizens were eligible to vote, including approximately 3,100 first-time voters. The successful organisation of two elections in one year was considered a great achievement in Arnsberg, a testament to the town's commitment to democratic processes.
