Local elections have received over 12,200 ballot applications
On September 14, 2025, Lünen will hold a local election, and voters have the option to cast their ballots via vote-by-mail. Here's a comprehensive guide to help you navigate the vote-by-mail application process.
If you prefer to apply in person, visit the vote-by-mail office located in the town hall, North Wing, Ground Floor, Rooms 13 to 19. Remember, a valid ID document is required, such as a driver's license, passport, or passport with a residence permit.
The office hours for the week of the local election are Monday to Friday, 8 am to 3 pm. However, on Friday, 12th September, the office will have extended hours from 8 am to 3 pm. The office is closed on Saturdays.
For your convenience, the vote-by-mail office does not require an appointment. You can simply walk in during operating hours to fill out and submit your application directly.
Alternatively, you can apply online by visiting www.ourwebsite/vote-by-mail. More than 8,000 of the vote-by-mail applications have been requested online, making it a popular choice among voters.
Emails can also be sent to elections@ourwebsite to request a vote-by-mail application. The QR code on the voting notification directs voters to the website to apply for the necessary documents for a vote-by-mail application.
As of September 2, 2025, 12,200 vote-by-mail applications have been issued in Lünen.
Vote-by-mail applications allow voters to cast their ballots from home, making it a convenient option for those who may find it difficult to travel to polling stations. The polling stations will be open on Sunday, 14th September, from 8 am to 6 pm.
