Next year's district council election candidates for Colorado State University and independent voters have been announced, except for the Greens. Instead, they've scheduled a date for the selection of their candidate.

Local Elections for the Land Council: Green Party remian reserved in Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen

In the upcoming municipal election in Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen, two major parties have announced their candidates for the Landrat position in the Tölz Landrat office.

The Free Voters in the district have nominated Ludwig Schmid from Geretsried as their candidate. On the other hand, the Christian Social Union (CSU) has chosen Thomas Holz as their candidate.

The Greens, however, have remained tight-lipped about their Landrat candidate. Dr. Andreas Wild, the Greens' spokesman, stated that they cannot make any statements about potential candidates at this time. The Greens have, however, announced a date for the nomination of their Landrat candidate. Dr. Jakob Runge will be officially nominated at the Kreisdelegiertenversammlung on February 17, 2024.

The Greens' district association will run with their own Landrat candidate in the upcoming municipal election. The nomination will be made democratically by the Greens' members in the district via a primary election.

The Greens have already made many preparations for the municipal election. They view starting the election campaign later compared to the CSU and Free Voters as not a disadvantage. Instead, they plan to use the remaining slightly more than four months for the election campaign with a powerful, concise, and intense campaign.

The incumbent Landrat is Josef Niedermaier. The Landrat election is scheduled to take place at a later date. The Greens' Landrat candidate nomination will take place on October 22 in the Geretsried town hall.

The town of Geretsried is within the district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen. The overall strategy for the municipal election, including the Landrat election, is seen by the Greens as absolutely on the right track.
