On August 8, 2025, Suan was elected as the president of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) Cebu chapter. The election, which took place at Seda Ayala Center Cebu, saw Suan as the lone nominee and receiving unanimous support from all 44 municipal mayors in Cebu, according to the Cordova Public Information Office (PIO). Daanbantayan Mayor Sun Shimura was the candidate who lost to Suan in the election.
Just a day before Suan's election, Rama was appointed as the Deputy Majority Leader of the 20th Congress. Rama announced his appointment publicly on August 7, 2025, on his Facebook page. Rama expressed his gratitude towards his colleagues in the House of Representatives for the appointment and stated his intentions to continue serving and improving policies for the betterment of all Filipinos.
Rama, who represents the Second District of the City of Sugbo, is not the only Cebu representative to take on a significant role. Shimura, who represents the 4th District of Sugbo, is also making waves in the political sphere.
