Livestock Training in Assam’s Rabha Hasong Empowers 100 with Farming Skills

A five-day livestock training programme has concluded in Boko, Kamrup district, aiming to tackle unemployment in the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Area. The initiative provided practical skills in piggery and cattle rearing, with a strong focus on scientific disease prevention methods. The programme, organized by the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council, saw 100 men and women from across the RHAC region take part. Training covered essential techniques for raising cattle and pigs, including modern approaches to keeping animals healthy. The training programme has equipped participants with practical knowledge and resources to begin livestock farming. With ongoing support from government schemes, the initiative seeks to create sustainable livelihoods in the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Area.
