Live Updates from Kishtwar: Indo-Pak Tensions escalate - Jammu Authorities Warn Citizens Amid Power Outage
Live Updates: India-Pakistan Clash intensifies
Tensions between India and Pakistan are skyrocketing after the Pahalgam incident, a deadly terrorist attack that left 26 people dead in Indian-held Kashmir. India officially accused Pakistan of being behind the attack, while Pakistan firmly denied any involvement.
Latest news suggests that eight missiles launched from Pakistan were successfully intercepted by Indian defense systems on Wednesday. These missiles were allegedly aimed at strategic locations such as Jammu-Satwari, Samba, RS Pura, and Arnia.
Cross-border conflicts still persist along the Line of Control (LoC) and the International Border. Ceasefire breaches have been confirmed in Samba, involving both artillery shelling and drone strikes. Reports indicate drone attacks in Udhampur, Akhnoor, Jammu, and Pathankot, prompting swift responses from Indian air defense forces to tackle the aerial threats.
According to reports, Pakistan targeted Jammu with loitering munitions, and Indian Air Defence guns are firing back in response. Defence sources revealed that the Indian armed forces successfully intercepted a low-range missile, and a Pakistani drone was shot down near Jammu, averting a potential major security breach.
This development follows the successful neutralization of Pakistan military's attempts at a large-scale drone and missile attack on multiple Indian military installations across Northern and Western India during the night of May 7-8. A Pakistani air defense system at Lahore was also reportedly neutralized.
