The highly anticipated GBCA Live event is set to take place at the Lake Point Champions Center in Emerson, Georgia, from June 20-29, 2025. This prestigious basketball tournament will bring together some of the best high school teams and players from across the Southeast region.

Leading the pack is Wheeler from Marietta, GA, who closed the 2024-2025 season as Georgia's top team with a 29-3 record and claimed their 10th state title. Despite graduating key players, Wheeler returns two standout talents, Colben Landrew and Kevin Savage, who both have experience at the Adidas circuit and NBPA Top 100 camp. The duo will play a crucial role in Wheeler's quest for a repeat title.

Grayson from Loganville, GA, also makes the list of top teams to watch. Despite graduation and transfers, they have some of the best youth in the state. Another team to keep an eye on is North Oconee from Bogart, GA, who enter 2025-26 as the two-time reigning champion in Class 4A, with rising junior guard Justin Wise leading the team.

Sandy Creek from Tyrone, GA, has been one of the best teams in Georgia in recent years, relying on toughness and grit. Meanwhile, Tri-Cities from East Point, GA, will begin the 2025-2026 season as the defending champions in Georgia's second-highest classification (5A), with Tre Keith and Jalan Wingfield leading the team.

In terms of individual standouts, Colben Landrew from Wheeler is one of the best returning players in the Southeast Region. His teammate, Kevin Savage, also boasts high-level experience and will help lead Wheeler’s team at GBCA Live.

Anderson Carey, a senior guard from the Walker School, is another player to watch. Known for his shooting and ability to create off the dribble, Carey is a senior leader who had a strong showing recently. Malachi Edgell, a junior forward from Douglas-Atlanta, is expected to develop into a top player, having recently recorded a double-double. Camden Smith, a 6'0 guard from Woodstock, has demonstrated solid fundamentals, aggressiveness, and leadership in recent games.

The NCAA's June Scholastic Live Period is one of the most important stops on the NCAA recruiting calendar, and GBCA Live is a significant event within this period. During the second weekend (June 27-29), many top teams in the West will play at Cali Live '25 in Southern California.
