Live renditions unveiled in Led Zeppelin's upcoming EP, alongside the 50th anniversary release of Physical Graffiti album

Rock legends Led Zeppelin have announced two new releases to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their sixth album, "Physical Graffiti." The band has unveiled a deluxe reissue of the iconic album, as well as a live EP featuring previously unreleased live versions of tracks from the album.

The reissue of "Physical Graffiti" includes six sides of vinyl, spreading the album's original tracks and seven bonus songs across the extended format. The tracklist remains identical to the 2015 deluxe edition, but the new release builds on that with additional memorabilia and the new live EP to commemorate the milestone year.

The live EP, titled simply "Live EP," features four live tracks – "In My Time of Dying" and "Trampled Under Foot" from the band's 1975 Earl's Court shows, and "Sick Again" and "Kashmir" from their 1979 Knebworth concerts. These live recordings were originally only available on the 2003 Led Zeppelin DVD, marking their first release as standalone audio outside of that DVD.

The key difference from previous releases is that the Live EP is the first time these four concert performances have been issued in audio-only formats such as vinyl, CD, and digital, rather than being exclusive to the 2003 DVD. Side 1 of the vinyl release includes "In My Time Of Dying" (Earl's Court - 1975) and "Trampled Under Foot" (Earl's Court - 1975), while Side 2 features "Sick Again" (Knebworth - 1979) and "Kashmir" (Knebworth - 1979).

Side 5 of the reissue includes an early version of "Sick Again" and an initial rough mix of "In My Time Of Dying," while Side 6 offers a rough mix with overdubs of "Houses Of The Holy" and a rough orchestra mix of "Driving Through Kashmir."

The 50th anniversary edition of "Physical Graffiti" also includes the previously available Companion Audio disc of alternate mixes and early versions, as well as a new 443mm x 610mm replica promotional poster and a replica of the Earl's Court concert program.

Unfortunately, fans may be disappointed as the new releases do not contain previously unreleased material from Jimmy Page's archive. However, the releases expand upon earlier reissues by providing new physical collectibles and making rare live tracks more widely available in audio-only formats for the first time.

The new releases are scheduled to arrive on September 12 and are available to pre-order now. For fans of Led Zeppelin, these new releases promise to be a must-have addition to any collection.
