Live Commentary for FA Cup Final: Scheduled Date, Kick-off Time, Squad Updates, and Streaming Details as Manchester City Lock Horns with Crystal Palace

The 2024/25 FA Cup final weekend is upon us, with Manchester City squaring off against Crystal Palace at Wembley.

With Manchester United losing in the fifth round, a new name will grace football's oldest cup trophy this year. Erik ten Hag guided the Red Devils to victory last May with a 2-1 win over Manchester City, but Ruben Amorim wasn't able to retain the trophy as Red Devils manager. Now, Pep Guardiola and his side have one last chance to secure some silverware this season, despite facing some major setbacks.

Man City made it to the final by beating Nottingham Forest, setting up a showdown with Crystal Palace. The Eagles haven't won a trophy since 1994, so they're eager to create history on this momentous day.

If the cup winners don’t secure a top six finish in the Premier League, they'll earn a spot in the Europa League.

FA Cup Final: What's Been Said?

"Yo, we finally made it to the bloody final!" Pep Guardiola exclaimed. "This speaks so highly about the volume of players and this club. But the season is defined by the Premier League and being consistent. This season ain't been so great, but we're happy to be here."

In response, Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner admitted, "It's about damn time. The players can party tonight, and they will. It's better I didn't dance in the dressing room. It's just one more step, but an important step. When you play the final, you wanna win it. Let's see if we can pull it off."

  1. Despite Manchester United's early exit from the FA Cup, a new team will win football's oldest cup trophy in the 2024/25 season.
  2. Even though they lost the FA Cup to Manchester United last year, Ruben Amorim wasn't able to retain the trophy as the manager.
  3. The 2024/25 FA Cup finalists, Manchester City and Crystal Palace, are both heading to European leagues following their impressive runs in the tournament; Man City will participate in the Champions League, while Crystal Palace will play in the Europa League.
  4. If Manchester City fails to secure a top six finish in the Premier League, they will still earn a spot in the Europa League as the FA Cup winners.
  5. TalkSPORT is offering a live stream, app access, and DAB digital radio coverage for the 2024/25 FA Cup final between Manchester City and Crystal Palace, scheduled for May 17 at 4:30pm at Wembley Stadium.
