Live broadcast reveals French streamer's death following ten days of alleged torture and grueling challenges
In a shocking turn of events, Raphael Graven, known by his stage name Jeanpormanove, passed away live on Kick platform after a 10-day marathon of "live" streaming. The immediate cause of death was exposure to toxic products.
Jeanpormanove, a well-known figure on social media with 582,000 subscribers on TikTok, was known for his devotion to extreme challenges. He moved to Kick for fewer restrictions, where he multiplied his extreme challenges, including strangulations, violent blows, and other forms of abuse.
However, the torments described on social media were not in reality as claimed by the lawyers. The investigation, which was opened following his death, included interrogations of his accomplices Naruto and Safine. The person suspected of assaulting Jean Pormanove at the time of his death was a streamer dressed as Batman, along with other persons present during the live stream.
The live stream continued for 10 minutes after his death was discovered by his accomplices Naruto and Safine, who had subjected him to extreme trials and torture on Twitch. The lifeless body of Jeanpormanove was exposed to thousands of spectators for 10 minutes before the live was ended.
The magistrates are not commenting on the case, but Clara Chappaz, Minister of Digital, expressed "absolute horror" over the situation. Lawyers for the streamers claim the torments were a "stunt".
It is worth noting that Jeanpormanove had previously risked expulsion from Twitch due to its stricter regulations. Social media users described increasingly cruel torments inflicted on Jeanpormanove by his accomplices before his death.
Clara Chappaz has called for stricter regulations and oversight of live streaming platforms to prevent such tragedies in the future. The investigation into Jeanpormanove's death is ongoing.
