Live Album and Concert Film Unveiled at S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival by Slash

Slash, the legendary guitarist from Guns N' Roses, has announced a new live album and concert film titled Slash: Live at the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival. The project is a testament to Slash's love for the blues genre, which has been the foundation of his music for this tour.

The album and film were recorded and filmed in July 2024 at the Mission Ballroom in Denver, CO, during Slash's S.E.R.P.E.N.T. (Solidarity, Engagement, Restore, Peace, Equality N' Tolerance) blues tour.

Slash: Live at the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival will be released by earMusic on November 7 in various formats: 2CD+DVD digipak, 2CD+Blu-ray digipak, and triple LP. Pre-orders for the album are available now.

The tracklist includes 15 songs, such as "Oh Well," a cover of Fleetwood Mac's Peter Green-era classic, "Papa Was a Rollin' Stone," "Stormy Monday," and "It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry." Other tracks are covers and songs rooted in the blues genre, like "Parchman Farm Blues," "Killing Floor," "Crossroads," and "The Pusher."

The album also features a song titled "Metal Chestnut" and a rendition of "Stone Free" and "Shake Your Money Maker."

Slash's Blues Ball band, which includes Teddy "ZigZag" Andreadis (keyboards, harmonica, vocals), Tash Neal (rhythm guitar, vocals), Johnny Griparic (bass, backing vocals), and Michael Jerome (drums), can be seen in the video.

The concert film also includes behind-the-scenes interviews and has been mixed in PCM Stereo and DTS 5.1 audio. The first video from the album is a cover of Fleetwood Mac's "Oh Well."

Slash has always found solace in the blues, stating that it has always functioned as a release for people going through hard times. With the current state of the world, he believes that many people are having a hard time.

Slash's guitar playing was inspired by Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, and Robert Johnson. This influence is evident in his powerful and emotive performances on the album.

Slash: Live at the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival will be available on CD, DVD, Blu-ray, and vinyl formats. It promises to be a must-have for any Slash or blues music fan.
