Live-action adaptation underway for 'Vampirina: The Teenage Vampire' series

Live-action adaptation underway for 'Vampirina: The Teenage Vampire' series

The much-anticipated live-action series, "Vampirina: Teenage Vampire", is set to make its debut on Disney Channel on September 12, 2025. The first two episodes will air at 8:00 and 8:30 p.m. EDT/PDT.

This exciting new series is a sequel to the original animated Vampirina, following the life of Vampirina “Vee” Hauntley, a tween vampire who leaves Transylvania to attend a performing arts boarding school. Kenzi Richardson stars as Vee in this music-driven, supernatural coming-of-age series.

Vee's life at the boarding school is filled with adventure and challenges as she pursues her passion for music while keeping her vampire identity hidden. Jenna Davis, known for her roles in "M3GAN" and "M3GAN 2.0", appears as Meg in the series.

The show is executive produced by Dan Cross and David Hoge, with Tim Federle, Bronwyn North-Reist, and Meg Deloatch also holding executive producer roles. The talented cast includes Kate Reinders and Jeff Meacham as Vee's vampire parents, Kim Coles as Dean Merriweather, and Ariel Martin (aka Baby Ariel; "ZOMBIES") as popstar Millie Eyelash. Jiwon Lee, Shaun Dixon, Milo Maharlika, and Faith Hedley are also part of the cast.

In a mystical crossover, Janice LeAnn Brown, known for her role in "Wizards Beyond Waverly Place", reprises her role as Billie. Emmy Award winner Mykal-Michelle Harris ("Raven's Home") also makes a guest appearance as Ruby.

After the TV premiere, all 16 episodes of "Vampirina: Teenage Vampire" will be available for streaming on Disney+ starting October 15, 2025. The Walt Disney Company, the parent company of Disney Channel, Disney+, and this ABC station, has released the official teaser trailer and poster for the series. Get ready to tune in and witness the exciting journey of Vampirina: Teenage Vampire!
