Wiesbaden Literature Days: A Week of Interdisciplinary Performances

The Wiesbaden Literature Days are set to take place from September 24 to 30, offering a week of captivating performances at various venues around the city. Organised by the Cultural Affairs Office Wiesbaden and the Literaturhaus Villa Clementine, this interdisciplinary festival promises a unique blend of music, verse, and film.

On Thursday, September 25, the "Poetry Collective Landscape" will give a poetry concert at the Studio of the State Theatre Wiesbaden. Sascha Conrad, Ulrike Almut Sandig, and Grigory Semenchuk will perform, moving along the interfaces of different arts to create a thrilling performance of words, images, and sound. Tickets for the poetry concert are available in advance and at the box office, with admission priced at 16 Euro (reduced 14 Euro), while box office tickets are 19 Euro (reduced 17 Euro). Advance booking can be made via the State Theatre Wiesbaden website.

The book "Three East German Women Get Drunk and Found the Ideal State" will also be presented during the festival. On Wednesday, September 24, at 7:30 PM, the event featuring Annett Gröschner, Peggy Mädler, and Wenke Seemann will take place at Thalhaus Theater, Nerotal 18. This book discussion will cover topics about upbringing, life in the former GDR, the "East German Woman" phenomenon, and the past and present of East Germany.
