List of Players and Their Sale Status Following the KCL 2025 Auction in Kerala Cricket League

The Kerala Cricket League (KCL) 2025 auction took place on July 5, with six teams vying for top talent. The accelerated auction saw a total of 170 players registered, divided into three categories: A, B, and C.

In a historic move, Kochi Blue Tigers and Thrissur Titans entered the auction with a clean slate, without any retentions. The teams wasted no time in building their rosters, with some high-profile players finding new homes.

One of the most significant acquisitions was Sanju Samson, who was bought by Kochi Blue Tigers for an astonishing INR 26.8 lakh. Samson's price tag is a landmark, nearly four times the previous record of INR 7.4 lakh, underscoring his immense appeal and marquee status in the league. Each team had a purse of INR 50 lakh to buy 16 to 20 players, making Samson’s purchase a significant investment by Kochi Blue Tigers.

The top 5 most expensive players in the KCL 2025 auction are:

1. **Sanju Samson** – Bought by Kochi Blue Tigers for INR 26.8 lakh, he became the most expensive player in KCL history, significantly surpassing the previous record.

2. **Vishnu Vinod** – Sold to Kollam Sailors for INR 12.8 lakh.

3. **Jalaj Saxena** – Purchased by Alleppey Ripples for INR 12.4 lakh.

4. **Basil Thampi** – Bought by Trivandrum Royals for INR 8.4 lakh.

5. For the fifth spot, while the exact amount isn't explicitly highlighted for a fifth player in the auction, notable bids include Anand Krishnan (INR 7 lakh) and Abdul Basith (INR 6.4 lakh), who drew high bids.
