List of participants who completed the MyWhoosh Big Ride Challenge in 2025
In the spirit of perseverance and determination, cyclists from across the globe have been participating in the MyWhoosh Big Ride Challenge 2025. This annual event, now in its sixth year, encourages cyclists to ride all year round, setting both annual and monthly goals.
One of the most prestigious challenges within the event is the CW5000, which requires riders to complete a staggering 5,000 miles. This year, numerous cyclists have risen to the challenge, with Mark Pritchard and Justin Lomas crossing the finish line on May 8th and May 15th respectively.
Alex Graham, a six-time CW5000 finisher, completed the challenge on June 16th, while Stepe Fletcher and Andy Cartlidge followed suit on July 17th and August 1st respectively. Hugh Mulligan, Michael Padwick, Gari Jones, and Kevin Palmer also joined the ranks of CW5000 finishers in 2025, although their exact completion dates are not specified.
Martin Power and Simon Hickman are also among the CW5000 finishers, but their dates of completion are not provided in the information available. Dave Cox completed the challenge on July 19th, and Ian Udell-Hart crossed the finish line on Aug 6th.
For those aiming for a more achievable goal, the Mini challenge offers a target of 500 miles. Justin Payne, a participant in the event, successfully completed the Mini challenge this year. Riders completing The Midi have ridden 1,000 miles, while Maxi finishers have ridden 2,500 miles.
To claim a finisher's medal, participants must meet their chosen challenge's mileage target and provide proof of their mileage. This proof can be a screenshot of their Strava profile page showing their name and annual mileage, or equivalent verification from other ride logging sites, apps, spreadsheets, or even printed mileage charts from Cycling Weekly.
Once your submission is verified, finishers will be contacted about how to order their medals, which will be available soon. It's also possible to join the challenge at any time throughout 2025 and continue adding mileage to qualify.
Signing up for the challenges is free and provides access to a private Facebook group and monthly challenge updates via email. The tradition of printed finisher's medals has been a part of the challenge since the 1920s, making the completion of these challenges a cherished milestone for cyclists.
Hitting the targets in 2025 is something to celebrate and be proud of. The MyWhoosh Big Ride Challenge continues to inspire cyclists worldwide, fostering a community of riders united by their shared passion for cycling and their pursuit of personal bests.
