Lion's career prospects running dry for this expert.
In early August 2025, Tino Casali officially parted ways with Eintracht Braunschweig after his contract expired and no new deal was offered [1]. The experienced goalkeeper is currently a free agent, with his next destination still uncertain.
Reports suggest that Austrian club Grazer AK could be a potential suitor for Casali [2], but as of late August 2025, no official transfer has been announced. There is no indication of an agreement with TSV Hartberg.
Casali's time at Eintracht Braunschweig was marked by his role as a backup goalkeeper. Despite spending much of his time on the sidelines, he rarely stepped into the limelight but always put the team first. His ambition and high regard within the team and club were acknowledged by Benjamin Kessel, the sporting director of Eintracht Braunschweig.
Casali's injury and subsequent recovery may have played a role in his decision to seek opportunities with other clubs. In the summer of 2024, he suffered a cruciate ligament injury that kept him out for several months. This coincided with the arrival of another goalkeeper at Eintracht Braunschweig, Ron-Thorben Hoffmann, who left for Schalke 04 in the same summer.
Despite continued talks, Eintracht Braunschweig has not offered Casali a new contract. Benjamin Kessel, the club's sporting director, has stated that they have decided not to offer him a new deal.
Casali played one official match for Eintracht Braunschweig, a 0-1 defeat against FC St. Pauli in February 2024. However, he did not get any further chances in the second division or the DFB-Pokal during his time at the club.
As Casali considers his options, the possibility of a return to his Austrian homeland remains a possibility, as he has been linked with Grazer AK and TSV Hartberg. His potential move to these clubs would mark a new chapter in his career, one that he will approach with his usual dedication and team spirit.
