Limited-edition vinyl version of the 'Atomfall' soundtrack to be released
Atomfall Soundtrack Gets Limited-Edition Vinyl Release
The soundtrack for the popular video game Atomfall, developed by independent studio Rebellion, is set to get a limited-edition vinyl release. The music for this post-apocalyptic game was created by Audio Director Graham Gatheral, with a focus on the combat music.
The vinyl release will be available via SPACELAB9 and will come in a gatefold sleeve featuring bespoke propaganda art, in-game iconography, and behind-the-scenes commentary from Rebellion's head of design Ben Fisher. Pre-orders for the vinyl release are now live via SPACELAB9.
Atomfall's soundtrack consists of 13 tracks, with each side showcasing a different selection. Side A includes tracks like 'A Scavenger's Oath', 'Hazmat Tango', 'Servant of the Blue', 'Slate and Steel', 'Contaiour websitent Breach', and 'The Wyndham Way'. Side B features 'B.A.R.D. 4 Life', 'Shall We Shoot 'em Sarge?', 'Into the Pit', 'The Voice in the Soil', 'Blue Static', 'Scorched Circuit', and 'Oberon'.
The music was inspired by traditional British folk music, the heavy brass and piano textures of '70s BBC sci-fi, the experimental electronics of Radiophonic Workshop, "The Wicker Man", "The Blood On Satan's Claw", and classic "Doctor Who". The sound's raw, immediate character inspired the vinyl release.
The Atomfall soundtrack was part of the deluxe Quarantine Edition of the game but is now available separately on vinyl. The vinyl release of the soundtrack was physically released recently.
Atomfall was released in March and has been played by more than 2.5 million players. The game takes place in an alternative 1960s Britain, aiming to create a sense of mystery, unease, and beauty.
In addition to the standard vinyl release, exclusive coloured variants will be available via Rebellion in the coming days. The vinyl release of the Atomfall soundtrack is a must-have for fans of the game and vinyl enthusiasts alike.
