Limited-edition vinyl version of the 'Atomfall' soundtrack to be released

The soundtrack for the critically acclaimed video game "Atomfall", developed by independent studio Rebellion, is set to be released on vinyl. This unique collection of music, inspired by traditional British folk music, '70s BBC sci-fi, the experimental electronics of Radiophonic Workshop, and the atmospheres of certain classic films, was created by Audio Director Graham Gatheral.

Gatheral, who composed 90 minutes of original music for the game, hopes the soundtrack will create a sense of mystery, unease, and beauty. The vinyl release of the "Atomfall" soundtrack mirrors the sound's raw, immediate character, with a focus on the combat music, while the title screen and village ambient tracks serve as a breather.

The vinyl release will come in a gatefold sleeve featuring bespoke propaganda art, in-game iconography, and behind-the-scenes commentary. Side A includes tracks such as 'A Scavenger's Oath', 'Hazmat Tango', and 'Slate and Steel', while Side B features 'B.A.R.D. 4 Life', 'Shall We Shoot 'em Sarge?', and 'Into the Pit'.

Exclusive coloured variants of the vinyl will be available via Rebellion in the coming days, with pre-orders now live via SPACELAB9. The vinyl release of the "Atomfall" soundtrack will also be available via SPACELAB9.

Meanwhile, the official "Borderlands 4" soundtrack features new music from Des Rocs and former One Direction star Zayn Malik. "Atomfall", released in March, has been played by over 2.5 million players. The Head of Design at Rebellion, involved in the development of the Atomfall soundtrack, is Ben Fisher.

The "Atomfall" soundtrack aims to transport listeners into an alternative 1960s Britain, feeling both familiar and alien, much like the game itself. So, whether you're a fan of the game or just appreciate great music, this vinyl release is not to be missed.
