The Folio Society, renowned for its high-quality special editions, has announced the release of a limited edition of Stephen King's 'It'. This exclusive edition, priced at £590 ($825), boasts numerous unique features and is limited to just 500 copies.

## Key Features

The limited edition of 'It' is a visual feast, with 11 double-page black-and-white illustrations and 6 double-page colour illustrations created by award-winning artist Jim Burns. The book is quarter-bound in leather with printed cloth sides and printed edges, and comes in a clamshell box covered in cloth with a printed lining.

The edition also includes tattered typography and bloody endpapers, adding to the eerie atmosphere of the novel. A special touch is the inclusion of instructions on how to make a paper boat, designed by David Curtis, recalling the iconic boat that leads Georgie into the sewers in the story.

## Approval and Release

Every element of this production has been approved by Stephen King himself, ensuring that the edition meets his standards. The edition will be released on July 15, 2025, at 11am EST/8am PT/4pm BST.

Guillermo del Toro has penned a new introduction for the special edition, discussing the struggle against evil and the cyclical nature of the cosmic dread in the novel. Del Toro's insightful introduction adds another layer to the already rich narrative of 'It'.

'It', first published in 1986, is one of King's longest works, with over 1,100 pages. The special edition, therefore, offers readers a comprehensive experience of the novel's intricate plot and vivid characterisation.

The Folio Society's special edition of 'It' promises to be a collector's item, with its stunning illustrations, meticulous design, and approval from Stephen King himself. This limited edition is now available for pre-order, making it a must-have for any serious Stephen King fan or collector of fine literature.
