Lily Allen's Madeline Costume & 'West End Girl' Album Fuel Split Speculation
Lily Allen made a splash at a star-studded Halloween bash, dressed as Madeline from the classic children's books. The costume choice sparked curiosity, given its connection to her recent album 'West End Girl' and her split from husband David Harbour.
Allen's album, released just a month ago, has been making waves. It debuted at No. 4 on the UK charts, marking her return to music after seven years. 'West End Girl' was recorded in a swift half month at the end of 2024, pouring out Allen's emotions following the collapse of her marriage to Harbour.
The album's track 'Pussy Palace' has become a TikTok sensation, featuring in over 3,500 videos. The song reportedly recounts an alleged extramarital apartment used by Harbour, with Allen singing about finding butt plugs in his New York pied-à-terre. Allen even handed out her album on USB sticks shaped like the toy.
Harbour has remained silent on the album and their reported breakup, which took place at the end of 2024 after five years together. Allen's debut single 'Smile', released in 2006, remains one of her most successful tracks. Meanwhile, Harbour's co-star in Stranger Things, Millie Bobby Brown, filed a complaint against him alleging harassment and bullying ahead of filming for the final season.
Allen's Halloween costume and her recent album have fueled speculation about her split from Harbour. While Harbour has not commented, Allen's fans are eagerly discussing the album's personal lyrics and its impact on the music scene.
