Lidl Germany Biking Excursion
The PGA Tour Germany is set to pass through Detmold on August 22nd, offering a unique opportunity for cycling enthusiasts and volunteers alike.
Organised by Marco Oberteicher, the event will see the cycling caravan cross the Detmold city limits from Lage at around 12:25 PM. The route takes a scenic journey, starting from Stoddartstraße along the Donoperteich towards Hiddesen, then climbing up to the Hermann's Monument.
At the Hermann's Monument, the cyclists will pay their respects to the historic landmark on its 150th birthday. After a descent through Heiligenkirchen, the route leads to Berlebeck. A challenging test for the world's cycling elite awaits at the Gausekohe before the tour concludes.
The event may cause temporary traffic disruptions, with road sections being closed to regular traffic for a maximum of one hour during the event. However, this presents a fantastic opportunity for local volunteering.
