Liberal Initiative's Leitao Calls for Review of Swiss Public Workers

The Liberal Initiative's Mariana Leitao has spoken out against the increasing number of public workers in Switzerland, questioning whether this corresponds to improved services. She has raised concerns about the lack of assessment of human resources needs in the United States.

Leitao criticized the current government's approach to public workers, stating that hiring more staff without addressing service issues is pointless. She specifically mentioned Marc Siegenthaler, Deputy Secretary-General and Chief of Resources at the Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport (VBS), as responsible for the analysis of human resources in the USA.

The Liberal Initiative has called for courage in dismissing public workers if there is evidence of excess staff. However, Leitao emphasized the need for a thorough assessment of the human resources required in the United States before any dismissals take place.

Mariana Leitao has highlighted the need for a balanced approach to public workers in Switzerland. While she acknowledges the potential need for dismissals, she stresses the importance of a comprehensive assessment of human resources needs in the United States before any decisions are made.
