Liam Lawson's Custom Subaru Forester Up for Auction, Benefiting I Am Hope Foundation
Racing driver Liam Lawson has transformed his Subaru Forester into a unique, high-performance machine, with proceeds from its auction going to the I Am Hope Foundation. The car, wrapped in satin dark grey and boasting a professional ceramic coating, is set to be auctioned off on November 7, coinciding with the charity's Gumboot Friday fundraiser.
Lawson, along with automotive design specialists, engineering teams at Subaru, and various aftermarket parts suppliers, collaborated on the project. The Forester has undergone numerous performance and cosmetic upgrades, including adjustable coilover suspension and a standalone ECU. The rebuild and tuning were carried out by Possum Bourne Motorsport, resulting in a powerful 300WHP engine. Subaru of NZ supplied a new W20C short block engine and a genuine STI turbo for the project. The car has traveled less than 1000km on its brand-new engine and features Lawson's race number and signature on the dashboard.
Mike King, founder of I Am Hope, praised the effort put into the project by Lawson and Stevens. Proceeds from the auction will go to the I Am Hope Foundation, providing free counseling for kids. The auction closes on November 7, giving enthusiasts and supporters a chance to own a unique piece of racing history while contributing to a worthy cause.
