After more than a decade of sibling rivalry, Liam (52) and Noel Gallagher (58) are teaming up once again, much to the delight of their legions of fans. In a surprising turn of events, Britpop legends Oasis announced their reunion tour last year, an event many had hoped for but still found hard to believe.
During a recent interview on X, Liam opened up about reconnecting with his brother: "It's kinda spiritual, but man, I can't help but think about all the lost time - what a bloody shame." When asked about stepping back into the spotlight with Oasis, Liam remained unperturbed: "Not everyone can handle the heat, pal. I ain't one of 'em."
A fan inquired about the renewed attention on him and Oasis: "Eyes on you and Oasis again, eh? Pressure or another bloody good week?" Liam's response? "I ain't here to crumble under pressure, mate."
The Long-Awaited Comeback
The Oasis reunion tour kicks off on July 4 in Cardiff, Wales. After performing in Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin, the band will venture to Canada, the USA, and Mexico for a series of shows. The tour will then make its way to Southeast Asia, Australia, and finally back to South America, wrapping up in São Paulo on November 23.
August 2024 saw the brothers announcing their reconciliation and reunion on stage. "The war's over. The stars aligned. The wait is finally f***ing over. Don't miss it, mate," they declared at the time.
Formed in 1991 by the Gallagher brothers, Oasis shot to stardom in the Britpop scene, with hits like "Wonderwall" and "Don't Look Back in Anger." Despite their phenomenal success, the duo's intense rivalry ultimately led to the band's split in 2009.
