Lia Conquers the Bikini World Again! 🏆

Berlin/Cologne - She's an engineering whiz by day and a... it girl in the bikini world by night!

Lia Liebing, the mechanical engineer from Cologne, reigns supreme once more as the World Bodybuilding Championships' queen in the "bikini class"! She successfully defended her title from 2022 in Berlin.

Lia's victory in November 2023, awarded a $500 prize

Lia's strength lies in her tenacity: She's been sculpting her body for bodybuilding measurements solely since the coronavirus pandemic era! "I've been a gym member forever, but I never trained as hard as I do now," Lia admits. Hoping for a fresh challenge, she discovered the transformative potential of bodybuilding. "I was captivated by fitness influencer Sophia Thiel (28), and I just had to look like her!"

The transformation from swimming to bodybuilding

With undeterred determination, Lia enlisted her trainer's help and exceeded all expectations. "I had never planned to compete until the fall of 2023, but my form was exceptional, so we started earlier."

Curious consequences! "I was spray-tanned for a competition one weekend and showed up tanned for my Monday final exam. My colleagues were quite astonished!"

Striving for the Perfect Beach Figure

Against fierce competition, Lia claimed her inaugural World Fitness Federation title in Bali (Indonesia) in 2022. Now, back in Berlin, she successfully defended her title in the "bikini class" at the beginning of November.

Lia's fierce competition, showcasing slight muscularity

"The 'bikini class' is all about having the coveted beach figure," she explains. "There should be a hint of muscle, but only a glimpse is allowed." Charisma is vital as well. "It's a beautiful, athletic overall package, complete with charm."

By the way, the gentlemen's counterpart with less muscle is affectionately called "men's physique".

Gaining Ten Kilograms: Lia's Imperative Health Transformation

What others might envy, is now a must for Lia's health: A remarkable ten kilograms!

In Berlin, she weighed 56.6 kilograms at 1.74 meters tall - her competition weight. However, she shouldn't maintain such a low weight for an extended period. "I had only 7% body fat, which would be unhealthy throughout the year. You often skip your period when you keep your competition figure for too long," Lia explains.

Lia's success in bodybuilding and engineering

Now, it's time to bulk up! "I'll sweat off the extra pounds around three to four months before the next World Championships in Las Vegas to get into competition shape," says Lia. Her entire life now revolves around bodybuilding, and she frequently eats to sustain her momentum: "You need a little bit of crazy to do this sport..."
