Leo XIV chosen by Steve Bannon as the "least optimal" pick for Trump's decision
Steve Bannon Slams Pope Leo XIV Election as Bad for Catholic MAGA Supporters
Steve Bannon, once Trump's right-hand man, believes that the electing of Pope Leo XIV is a disastrous move for Catholic MAGA supporters. He believes that the selection of Leo XIV is an anti-Trump vote by the globalists in the Roman Curia.
Bannon, known for his nationalist and populist views, made this statement last week while predicting the election of Cardinal Robert Prevost, who took the name Leo XIV after his election on Thursday. Prevost is a U.S. citizen and was prefect of the Dicastery for Bishops before assuming the papal throne.
Interestingly, Bannon claimed that the so-called "constitutional powers" in the MAGA movement, often referred to as the Deep State and Deep Church, consider Prevost one of the least likely candidates to lead the Catholic Church.
Previously a mathematics and theology graduate, Prevost, aged 69, is a member of the Order of Saint Augustine. He belongs to Chicago and succeeded Pope Francis, who passed away on April 21 at the age of 88.
Currently, there's no evidence of widespread support or dismissal of Prevost's papacy within either the MAGA movement or the Catholic community. Bannon's statement was made on British television with Piers Morgan, which attracted significant attention.
Whatever the case may be, the election of Leo XIV and its implications continue to be a topic of interest and debate among the masses. Keep an eye out for more updates on this developing story!
