Lengnau’s 2025 Classical Concert Series Unites Star Musicians for a Vienna-Inspired Evening

Lengnau will host a special classical concert series in December 2025 as part of the third edition of Kultur in Lengnau. The event features two renowned musicians: Swiss violinist Esther Hoppe and Dutch pianist Ronald Brautigam. Both performances will take place in the village’s auditorium, with one event reserved for students and another open to the wider public.

The series begins with an exclusive matinee for school classes on Friday, December 5, 2025, in the morning. This educational session will give students the chance to experience live classical music in an intimate setting.

The main event, titled An Evening in Vienna, follows on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at 5:00 PM. Open to residents of Lengnau and the surrounding area, the programme will showcase works from the Classical and early Romantic periods. Hoppe, celebrated for her dynamic career as a soloist and chamber musician, will perform alongside Brautigam, known for his skill on both modern and historical pianos.

The municipality of Lengnau is organizing the event and has contributed 3,000 Swiss francs to support the performances. This funding ensures the concerts remain accessible to the community while maintaining high artistic standards.

The two performances mark the third instalment of Kultur in Lengnau, a cultural initiative backed by local authorities. With a mix of educational outreach and public concerts, the series aims to bring world-class classical music to the region. Tickets for the Sunday evening event will be available to all residents and neighbouring communities.
