It looks like football coach Ole Werner is about to kiss Werder Bremen goodbye and head over to RB Leipzig! According to the latest scoop, Werder and Leipzig have struck a deal regarding Werner's severance package, but the ink on the contract itself hasn't been signed yet. The two clubs are in the homestretch of negotiations, and it's just a matter of time before a final agreement is reached.

Sources like Kicker and Bild have reported that a breakthrough has been made in the talks, and everything's looking peachy. Werner's contract with Werder has already expired, and apparently, Werder asked for €6 million in severance. The Leipzigers weren't keen on shelling out that much, but it seems like they've found common ground somewhere.

In the event that the transfer goes through, Werner's two assistants, Patrick Kohlmann and Tom Cichon, might also be heading to Leipzig, following in his footsteps. Werner's been in talks with Leipzig for a hot minute, but the deal's not yet official.

After parting ways with Marco Rose in March, Leipzig has been going through a bit of a revolving-coach door. Zsolt Löw served as interim coach until the season's end, but Werner's seems primed to take the reins. Other names that surfaced in talks for the head coach position included Cesc Fàbregas (Como), Oliver Glasner (Crystal Palace), and Jacob Neestrup from FC Copenhagen at one point. But it's Werner who seems likeliest to take the spot.

Leipzig's first training session for the upcoming Bundesliga season is set to kick off on July 14—so we might not have to wait too long before Werner signs on the dotted line!

The negotiations between Werder Bremen and RB Leipzig regarding Ole Werner's deal are nearing completion, with both parties edging closer to a final agreement. Once the transfer is finalized, Werner's two assistants, Patrick Kohlmann and Tom Cichon, might also join him at Leipzig, departing from European leagues and venturing into the Bundesliga.
