Werner's contract with Werder has already expired, and apparently, Werder asked for €6 million in severance. The Leipzigers weren't keen on shelling out that much, but it seems like they've found common ground somewhere.
In the event that the transfer goes through, Werner's two assistants, Patrick Kohlmann and Tom Cichon, might also be heading to Leipzig, following in his footsteps. Werner's been in talks with Leipzig for a hot minute, but the deal's not yet official.
