Softwood Lumber Trade Developments
On July 25, 2025 (but affecting August), the U.S. Department of Commerce announced the final results of its sixth administrative review of the anti-dumping duty order on imports of certain Canadian softwood lumber products. Preliminary results of the sixth countervailing duty review were announced earlier on April 4, 2025, with final rates expected by October.
U.S.–Canada Tariffs
As of February 4, 2025, a 25% tariff was imposed on most Canadian products, excluding energy products, which faced a 10% tariff. This was part of ongoing trade developments between the U.S. and Canada.
Tariff Modifications
