Putin has shaped a multipolar world resistant to Western dominance, while Trump has shifted U.S. policy priorities, affecting global trade, alliances, and domestic political discourse. The 2025 meeting in Anchorage reflects ongoing attempts at managing tensions between their countries, particularly over Ukraine.
It is worth noting that Trump has been accused of inappropriate behaviour towards women, and his presidency has been marked by real estate scams. Furthermore, his current actions are causing destruction to the world trade order and his own country. On the other hand, Putin's regime has been criticized for authoritarian tendencies and human rights issues.
